Juniper Networks Launches New and Powerful Content Streaming App

In light of the mobile boom and tablet and PC video streaming, Juniper Networks has just announced the launch of new Media Flow Controller application Media Flow Publisher, which enables content providers ranging from IPTV to cable companies, streams smooth HQ video across a wide range of devices using numerous formats, streaming protocols and more.

“The new application enables Juniper Media Flow Solution to perform the stream segmentation, packaging, metadata publishing and adaptive stream format translation required for adaptive bit-rate delivery”

This time-saving application has many functions in addition to ,the ones listed above, and will likely if not definitely, draw a lot of attention to it by potential customers. It is supposedly aimed to reduce TCO, power consumption, space, eliminate the need adaptive encoders and servers, as well as increasing streaming efficiency fivefold – something every IPTV, cable and content publisher/distributor desires.

The combination of maximum value for minimum cost is something every businessman would kill for, and as it seems, that’s exactly what Juniper hopes to offer to with Media Flow Publisher.  The company is going after every video content provider looking to expand his clientele beyond the living room, and the occasional one with the rollable TV.

Juniper is not the only big name involved in the massive growth of quality cross-platform internet & network video streaming. Cisco is also looking to profit from the demand as so many smartphone, laptop, PC and tablet users demonstrate use cases for high-quality, smooth video content on-the-go and on-the-lap, showing just how far we’ve come since “Jazz Singer”.
