New Relic Lands $10M, Ups Support for APM SaaS
New Relic has not only raised another $10 million in its third round of funding, but it’s also announced support for Microsoft.NET and PHP. The recent round was led by Tenaya Capital, while the system update adds to the range of supported languages for their Application Performance Management (APM) SaaS solution. This makes it the first on-demand monitoring and performance management tool to support multiple languages and multiple deployment platforms. The one stop solution to manage and optimize web applications and data centers makes life for developers much easier. You can find details about the new features here.
New Relic management expressed their views about the new support, hinting at a few goals for the future of the company:
“As we continue to witness a monumental shift in development and deployment models for business-computing services, New Relic’s goal is the same as it has always been — to provide organizations with tools to ensure their mission-critical applications are meeting both performance goals and 24×7 end-user demands for superior service delivery,” said Lew Cirne, New Relic founder and CEO, and the father of modern-day web application management.
“By providing a single solution that works seamlessly in physical and virtual environments and supports multiple deployment platforms and languages, the addition of .NET and PHP monitoring effectively doubles the number of organizations that we can serve and will fundamentally alter the way that organizations will manage both their traditional and cloud-based online systems.”
Cloud Computing is reshaping the way technology is used by businesses. New Relic is aiming to help companies develop optimized applications, avoid bottlenecks and eventually save costs. The added support for two nw languages brings New Relic to a certain standard for APM, enabling it to be more competitive in a wider space.
