To meet the demands of business executives, LinkedIn has completely renovated its polling feature. Some new sharing tools and business analytics systems have also been added to analyze the poll results. This new feature called LinkedIn Polls is quite similar to the usual polling services and includes asking questions, option of adding up to five possible responses and duration of the poll. After setting it up, one can also share it in other social networks or embed in your site.
Although LinkedIn Polls have fewer features as compared to the current leader Polldaddy, its potential strength lies in the analytics it uses for the break-down of results. As this feature is linked to LinkedIn, one can examine the results and be able to segregate responses according to different demographics like age, seniority or gender. The answers of industry’s top executives might be of great interest and use to you. The same way, knowing how females answer the polls might be beneficial. The patterns could be utilized to set pace and direction to companies posting hiring requirements within this business-oriented social networking site.
In addition to this development, LinkedIn is now also available as an Android Beta App. LinkedIn has released the public beta app for the first time keeping under concern the spur of demand this holiday season. The news was reported by Chad Whitney, Sr. Product Developer in his official blog. Whitney noted in his blog that there would they will be introducing new features with the launch of other versions:
