Using a variety of sources, Pingdom has put together a list of numbers about the Internet. For example:
107 trillion – The number of emails sent on the Internet in 2010 (89% were spam).
255 million – The number of websites as of December 2010.
825.1 million – Internet users in Asia (as compared with 266.2 million in North America).
3000+ – Photos uploaded per minute to Flickr.
And lots more.
I have no idea what it all means, but it is fascinating just to steep one’s mind in the sheer magnitudes involved. So take a look.
