Google+ finally launched something that would keep users coming back for more. Google+ Pages lets users bond over things they have in common while business will benefit from using this to connect to their customers.
According to a post by Google, Google+ Pages “For you and me, this means we can now hang out live with the local bike shop, or discuss our wardrobe with a favorite clothing line, or follow a band on tour. Google+ pages give life to everything we find in the real world. And by adding them to circles, we can create lasting bonds with the pages (and people) that matter most.”
“For businesses and brands, Google+ pages help you connect with the customers and fans who love you. Not only can they recommend you with a +1, or add you to a circle to listen long-term. They can actually spend time with your team, face-to-face-to-face. All you need to do is start sharing, and you’ll soon find the super fans and loyal customers that want to say hello.”
Here’s a list of the available pages on Google+ with more pages to come:
All American Rejects, Anderson Cooper 360, Angry Birds, Barcelona Football Club, Burberry, Dallas Cowboys, Good Morning America, H&M, Macy’s, Modelland, The Muppets, Pepsi, Phoenix Suns, Save the Children, Special Report with Bret Baier, Toyota, Train, WWE, X Games, and Zen Bikes.
Also, since everyone is Google to search for anything, Google+ Pages is now integrated in web search and they’ve added a new feature called Direct Connect which automatically brings you to their Google+ Page. You just type in [+] then the name of the brand, band or whatever you want to follow or connect to, like +All American Rejects. But for now, Direct Connect works only for some pages like +Google, +Pepsi and +Toyota but more are soon to come.

Google+ vs. Facebook
During an interview with Charlie Rose on PBS, Mark Zuckerberg talked smack about Google+ which led to a word war with Google exec.
“People like to talk about war. There are a lot of ways in which the companies work together. There are real competitions in there, but I don’t think this is going to be the type of situation where there’s one company that wins all the stuff,” Zuckerberg said.
“Google in some ways is more competitive and is certainly trying to build their own little version of Facebook,” he added. “When I look at Amazon and Apple, I see companies that are extremely aligned with us. We have a lot of conversations with people at both companies trying to figure out ways in which we can do more together.”
Google+ Vice President of Product Management Bradley Horowitz appeared in an interview with Emily Chang on Bloomberg just after Zuckerberg’s comment aired.
Chang asked whether they see themselves as building their own little version of Facebook just like Zuckerberg described them, Horowitz answered with a chuckle, “We are delighted to be underestimated. It served us very well to date. It’s fine by us. I’m not gonna clear anything up.”
Well played by Horowitz. At least he didn’t talk smack about their competitor and will just let time and users tell how Google+ will be doing in the future.
