3 Resources for Getting Started with Zenoss
Zenoss is an open source network monitoring and management tool. One of its killer features is the ability to automatically detect and inventory a given network. The enterprise version has become a favorite among DevOps teams, and it’s a package I hear a lot about. Here are a few resources for getting started.
Just Jump Right In
If just you want to just get it installed and running, you can check out this quick installation guide for CentOS (it should work for Red Hat and Scientific Linux servers as well). This guide for installing on Ubuntu should also work for other Debian based servers.
Official Documentation
Once Zenoss is installed, you’ll probably want some help configuring it. Zenoss has a Getting Started Guide that’s available in HTML, PDF and ePub formats. For more detailed information you can find the full official documentation here.
