It is Oracle’s response to SAP’s HANA In-memory database in hopes of preventing customers from jumping ship from Oracle to SAP. Oracle’s main concern is that many of its customers use SAP software alongside what Oracle is offering. Oracle’s packaging more into its stack to provide better IaaS and SaaS.
