MapR makes it “so much easier” to use Hadoop | #HadoopHudson
What is the current state of the Big Data market? That’s a question that will garner a range of answers depending on who you ask, as many industry players tackle the biggest of Big Data’s remaining obstacles to the enterprise. For MapR Technologies, Big Data is an opportunity to demonstrate the perks of its Hadoop service in simplifying data management for clients.
During a live interview at the recently concluded Hadoop on the Hudson Party, MapR’s Senior Director of Global Sales Jabari Norton details how his company stands out from others in the Big Data market with a three-step approach:
“MapR makes Hadoop look easy, easier to use, and easier to integrate with applications,” Norton explained, noting that MapR makes Hadoop more dependable with a focus on performance and speed.
Across North America, between 5 and 10 percent of enterprises are in production with Hadoop, whereas with MapR’s customers 70 – 80 percent are in production, as they make it so much easier to use Hadoop, according to Norton.
