While Helion is an open source product that could work in any environment, the focus in on HP hardware. “We’re trying to make Helion work best on HP gear,” Interrante said. “I have been impressed by the variety of hardware we offer. The cloud line is optimized for minimum print, maximum compute for power,” he added.
HP Cloud is aiming to invest more in 2015 and is actively hiring. Interrante stated, “We’re growing very rapidly. We’re excited about both the Hellion growth rates and the cloud system.” The hiring focus is on “people who love open source,” have software development experience, and online experience, he explained.
