Inovvo, LLC is a new company that emerged from a management buyout within comScore, Inc., an analytics company. comScore is still a key partner with Inovvo, according to Joseph Khalil, CEO at Inovvo. Khalil describes his company as the platform that “sits on top of whatever data management software” a company is using. Inovvo can help businesses analyze their Big Data, choose rate plans, and prioritize their available speed by looking at what their users are doing.
“Privacy is a big concern,” says Khalil, but he assured theCUBE, SiliconANGLE’s Media production team during the HP Big Data Conference, that deployment is happening on-site and the company utilizes various levels of encryptions. Due to both of those elements, “employees don’t know individual users’ information,” Khalil says.
However, Inovvo does offer what they call the “care component.” A customer can call and an operator will be able to see all the services that customer is running, as well as see the previous 13 months of activity. Inovvo’s software then “gives the most likely issues” and generates a “Call-to-Action Report.” This process has resulted in shorter call times, which is a point of pride for Khalil. The current form of Inovvo services are the result of years of research and development, and customer feedback.
Khalil states that the current challenge for Big Data is to “leverage the data from all your silos.” Then, at Inovvo, “We stitch it together into intelligence.” However, Khalil observes that issues concerning data streaming are still a problem. He predicts that the industry will see “data doubling ever two to three years.”
Khalil also says that HP has a lot of solutions for that. Khalil describes HP as a “tech partner,” as Inovvo uses Vertica to “minimize [their] hardware footprint” and “render information quickly.”
