Microsoft’s delectable Xbox One deals for Black Friday, starting today

“The big day is coming,” says Microsoft in a video clip heralding Black Friday. A statement that is perhaps a tad bombastic, but nonetheless, Xbox is offering some pretty decent treats. This starts with a sale at the Xbox Store on November 24th, which consists of Xbox One and Xbox 360 content being sold at discount rates. However, people with an Xbox Live Gold subscription will be able to take advantage of discounts today, November 20th.

In the clip Microsoft also says that that Xbox Live Gold subscriptions will go for a not so pricey one dollar, while a discount of 40-60 percent will be offered on over 150 games, says Microsoft. If you have the Xbox Live Gold subscription from November 20-23 you can get pre-access deals.

Microsoft doesn’t actually say what games will be discounted, but in the video we see some examples, those being, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Batman: Arkham Knight, Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor and Forza Motorsport 6. The one buck subscription isn’t an enticing deal if you’re the kind of person  that doesn’t want to fight with crowds on a blustery fall day.

If you’re in the market for an Xbox One, consoles will likely be as high as $349.99, although used consoles will go for something like $299 and less. However, depending on where you buy, it looks like on Black Friday both the Xbox One and PS4 might be reduced to as little as $299. But Microsoft has said that it is not focusing on console price drops as much as it is getting people to subscribe to Xbox Live, which makes sense given that subscribers will be continually providing revenue if they take the bait when deals arise.
