It’s time for New Year, new you: 5 apps to help you stick to your New Year’s resolutions

We are just two days away from the end of 2015 and as we see in 2016, you can expect the age-old question of “What are your New Year’s resolutions?” from all around you.

Deciding on your resolutions for 2016 can be hard, but actually sticking to them once the novelty has worn off is 100 times more difficult.

Whether you are planning to eat right, exercise more, save money, or learn a new language, here are some apps that can help you stick to your 2016 resolutions.

Some motivation to get you going

Before you even start making a dent in those resolutions, the first app you should get is one that will help you keep track of your goals. Coach.me allows you to track your progress, set up targets and reminders and receive motivation from friends and the community. Coach.me is free and available on iOS and Android.

Manage your budget and save more money

If your resolution for 2016 is to save more money and manage your budget better then Mint is the app for you. Mint aggregates your bank accounts and credit card balances into one place and helps you keep track of your saving goals. Download the free mobile app on iOS or Android.

Improve your nutrition and lose weight

Many people have a New Year’s resolution of losing weight or at least improving their nutrition. A very popular app to help you monitor your daily calorie intake is MyFitnessPal. The app provides you access to a database of over 5 million foods and tracks your daily exercise. Download the free mobile app on iOS or Android.

Get in shape

Skimble’s Workout Trainer will help you improve your fitness and get in great shape in 2016. The app has thousands of workouts and custom training programs to help you reach your fitness goals. Download the free mobile app on iOS or Android.

Learn a new language

If you are eager to learn a new language in 2016 then the Duolingo app could help you achieve your goal. Languages that you can learn on the Duolingo app include Czech, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Danish, Swedish, Russian, Ukrainian, Polish, Turkish, English and more. Download the free app on iOS, Android or Windows.
