App engines and development via Google | #atscale2015
Major companies like Google are focused on providing answers to the problems that users face, including helping them scale with products and services that serve their needs.
Melody Meckfessel, senior director of development tools for Google’s cloud platform, talked with George Gilbert, cohost of theCUBE, from the SiliconANGLE Media team, at the @Scale Conference sponsored by Facebook, about how Google is focusing on providing answers.
Providing benefits to enterprises
Google works with some of the biggest companies in the world attempting to fill in the gaps to make those companies more successful.
Meckfessel explained, “Evaluating what is the core thing you are good at, look for all of the places with laser focus that you don’t need to be spending your time on,” and then give those tasks over to a company like Google who can manage and maintain operations while freeing employees up to succeed.
App engine building
Among other features, Google is focusing in on the languages and tools that developers need in order to perform quick builds and updates for their user communities. As a passion of Meckfessel, these developments should help any enterprise get their apps moving and off the ground with greater velocity.
