Large-scale enterprise doesn’t just “change over” to cloud-based infrastructure; it migrates over time, and AVST offers technology to help medium- and large-scale businesses manage the complex move.
In an interview at Enterprise Connect 2016 in Orlando, Florida, Hardy Myers, president and CEO of Applied Voice & Speech Technologies, Inc. (AVST), spoke to John Furrier, cohost of theCUBE, from the SiliconANGLE Media team, and Jim Burton, cofounder at UCStrategies.com, about AVST’s enterprise solutions.
Although known for its highly successful unified messaging solution, AVST is more than a messaging company, said Myers. Offering a highly interoperable unified communications platform, AVST delivers enterprise class solutions through its own and partner platforms to assist businesses with the move from legacy to cloud-based infrastructure.
Myers described the core of what the company is doing as “future proofing or enabling a customer to migrate, over time, from a legacy environment.”
Burton asked Myers to describe the relationship between AVST and Microsoft, pointing out that although Microsoft has many partners, it uses AVST product. Myers responded that AVST supports Microsoft by enabling customers to migrate from legacy to Skype for Business, both on-premise and in the cloud, as well as supplying highly scalable applications for businesses that require more scalability than Microsoft can provide.
