Custom IT solutions are critical to success in today’s market, and Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co.’s (HPE) commitment to providing wall-to-wall solutions for customers in all sectors and verticals is ongoing.
K.C. Choi, VP of Global Solutions Architecture, Sales, Technical and Partner Enablement at HP, sat down with Dave Vellante (@dvellante), host of theCUBE, from the SiliconANGLE Media team, during HPE Discover 2016 in Las Vegas.
With the vast scope of creating a comprehensive IT solution, how you proceed depends as much on the team you use as it does on how you approach the problem. Choosing the right team is as important as choosing to work on the right problem in the first place.
“The approach we’ve taken … is that you can’t do it with everybody in the organization. But you need to pick your champions, you need to pick your early use cases and you need to pick your champion customers,” said Choi.
The most efficient way to create solutions for new problems is to listen to those who have been there before you. Reinventing the wheel is never the best way to go, and HPE knows this.
“We’re trying to bring in more industrial expertise,” said Choi. “What’s happening now is we’re having to ingest skills really from the Industrial Internet.”
