Fresh off a successful recent initial public offering, Nutanix will be watched by many to see how the infrastructure as a service provider will navigate a competitive market as a publicly traded company. To learn more about Nutanix’s post-IPO plans, SiliconANGLE heads to Europe for the Nutanix .NEXT Conference, Europe edition, in Vienna, Austria, broadcasting exclusive interviews from its roving news desk, theCUBE.
Nutanix Inc. went public on Sept. 30 and saw its shares rise by 131 percent on the first day, which many hope will see the end of the technology IPO drought. In an interview with theCUBE’s Stu Miniman, Dheeraj Pandey, chief executive officer of Nutanix, provided a preview of the company’s plan following its IPO. “There’s so much more to do,” said Pandey. “The world doesn’t know who we are yet. We’re just cracking the surface. Eventually, what could emerge from this company is way different from what it is today.”
With the .NEXT Conference taking place in Vienna, theCUBE will also explore how Nutanix is performing outside of the U.S. and how it plans to continue its momentum.
The theme of the Nutanix conference is “Take the next step towards enterprise cloud,” so we are likely to see a strong focus on the company’s enterprise cloud offering. To speed up the delivery of its enterprise cloud platform ambitions, Nutanix acquired PernixData Inc. and Calm.io in August.
In addition, theCUBE will explore how Nutanix will survive as it faces stronger competition from the likes of Amazon Web Services Inc. and Oracle Corp., as well as the impact on the company following the Dell-EMC relationship.
Guest speakers at the Nutanix .NEXT Conference includes a wide range of presenters, starting with Nutanix CEO Dheeraj Pandey; Nassim Taleb, researcher, author and professor; Andy Budd, UX designer and chief executive officer at Clearleft Ltd.; and Franck Cohen, president of SAP Europe, Middle East & Africa at SAP SE.
Other guests include Josephine Darmon, chief information officer for the consumer products division at L’Oreal S.A.; David King, head of infrastructure design and engineering at Worldpay Group PLC; Chakri Avala, director of product management at Lenovo Group Ltd.; and Jerry Rijnbeek, sales engineering manager for EMEA at Rubrik Inc.
