Clari updates its AI-powered sales platform

Artificial intelligence-powered sales software company Clari Inc. today extended its services with the launch of a new Connected Revenue Operations platform.

The new platform is meant to align go-to-market operations such as sales, marketing and customer success in order to help enterprises automate their revenue operations.

Clari’s original platform was designed to make the sales process easier by offering AI and machine learning-driven sales tools that enable reps to know where to focus, managers to spot risk immediately in a sales pipeline and executives to forecast sales with confidence.

Clari’s lead solutions engineer, Diana Cappello, was interviewed on theCUBE, SiliconANGLE’s mobile livestreaming studio last year, where she explained how the company enhances its offerings by listening carefully to its customer’s exact needs.

“The No. 1 thing that we do when we meet a customer is listen to the problems that they’re experiencing, and then listen to the goals that they have, the objectives that they want, the outcomes,” Capello said. “And then we think about, how can we meet their need with the technology? Especially in a product-management role, you see it a lot where people are just so excited, so passionate about the things that they built that sometimes that’s all they want to do is just tell that story. But really, it’s listening that’s the more important skill.”

The Connected Revenue Operations is essentially an upgrade on its original sales platform that aggregates even more data to inform decisions and predictions. It works by capturing data from various integrated sales systems, including customer relationship management, marketing automation, email, content management, telephony and conversations. This data is then used to create “AI insights” that Clari says can help customers drive sales pipelines, improve conversions and forecasts, and reduce churn.

For example, Clari’s new platform can help marketing teams by providing greater visibility into sales activity and access to “previously invisible contacts.” It does that by automatically harvesting sales contacts that aren’t logged, updating the CRM system and mapping the contacts to the right accounts and opportunities, the company said.

The platform also supports customer success teams, helping them predict upsells and identify the risk of customer churn, which is when a customer suddenly stops doing business with a company.

The update comes a year after Clari closed on a $35 million Series C round of funding.
