Meister launches collaborative note-taking platform MeisterNote public beta
Meister, a provider of online collaboration and creativity tools, is expanding its suite of tools with the public beta launch of its note-taking and documentation management software MeisterNote today.
MeisterNote is an intuitive note-taking platform designed to allow teams to create, organize and publish documents within a single hub, both from the office or remotely. It has a simple-to-use interface and powerful features that can be found within many modern editors as well as a strong archival backend to organize documents with search capabilities for discovery.
“Poor documentation processes cause huge inefficiencies in companies of all sizes in all sorts of industries,” said Michael Hollauf, co-founder and chief executive of Meister. “Phenomena such as information silos, knowledge loss and information overload can be caused by software confusion. Too many tools, creating too many types of documents, stored in too many places.”
The software also connects with Meister’s other products such as MindMeister, an online mind-mapping tool, and MeisterTask, an online task management tool. That makes it a complement to the suite of other tools for managing thoughts and ideas in one place and providing a single point of truth for search and discovery.
“We purposely focused on interoperability, especially within the Meister Suite and modernized features for the best user experience, regardless of expertise,” said Hollauf.
Document management is especially important given the remote work culture that has grown during the pandemic. Many employees and businesses have become ever-more accustomed to more of the workforce working in hybrid environments where some workers exist in the office and some work from home. Meetings may take place both in-person and online and create documents that exist in multiple editors or storage archives.
To fix that problem, Hollauf said he developed MeisterNote as “a single-source of truth designed to increase efficiency and creativity” that could be used by teams to collect their documents no matter where they may create and edit them.
Key features of MeisterNote include a centralized documentation platform to help solve this issue. The company says it’s highly scalable, with a simplified signup process that can be rolled out within minutes. It instantly synchronizes across teams of any size to ensure that everyone can see changes as quickly as possible.
As for what can be shared and edited, users can add any type of content to pages with unlimited attachments inline with text like any standard editor. There are also endless formatting options available including tables, info boxes and embedded tasks from MeisterTask.
While MeisterNote is in public beta test mode, users can access the tool for free.
