Watch live: Connections21 keynotes and breakout sessions focus on the power of secure, accelerated digital transformation, Oct. 28

While digital transformation is now taking place at unprecedented levels, the question still remains as to how organizations can manage issues around security and scalability as they transform. Data protection services provider, Commvault Systems Inc., sees its product suite as a launchpad upon which IT professionals and companies alike can build their accelerated digital transformation and cloud journeys.

Commvault’s product portfolio spans offerings for cloud infrastructure and compliance maintenance, data backup and recovery, and security querying. At the company’s upcoming Connections21 industry event on Oct. 28, it will showcase its latest advancements aimed at delivering faster work times, tighter tolerance margins, and a smoother experience for enterprise customers.

The event will be run on a hybrid format, including live attendance by the media, company reps and keynote speakers, as well as the virtual presence of attendees spread across the globe.

“It offers breakout sessions, product demonstrations, and network activities focused on how IT professionals can accelerate their cloud journeys while mitigating the risk of fragmentation, data sprawl, and relentless security threats,” according to Commvault.

To boot, attendees will also be allowed the rare opportunity for one-on-one conversations with Commvault’s dev team. Register here to join in virtually for free. And don’t miss real-time coverage with theCUBE, SiliconANGLE Media’s livestreaming studio, with live broadcasts  on the ground. (* Disclosure below.)

Renewed interest in new products drives bumper earnings

Commvault is enjoying one of its best financial years to date. Its recent earnings report revealed that at $191.3 million, the company’s fourth-quarter software and product revenues were up 35% year over year.

“We are proud to report Commvault delivered record quarter and full fiscal year revenue coupled with material operating margin expansion,” said Commvault Chief Executive Officer Sanjay Mirchandani.

A large part of the company’s success is a result of its Intelligent Data Services portfolio, which spans across on-premises, software as a service and cloud environments. The company generated $723.5 million in revenue for the full year ended 2021, $326.8 million of which is credited to its software and products division.

The company was also able to raise its revenue generated from larger deals (engagements worth $100,000 and above). The average dollar amount generated by these larger deals for 2021 is $335,000 — representing a 13% increase from 2020.

Several new and existing products to headline the event

Connections21 has been themed “Be ready. Be connected. Be inspired.” In keeping with the theme, the event will show real-life examples of how Commvault’s customers and partners have effectively managed their data vaults, mitigated risks, recovered from threats and substantively modernized their protection environments.

Commvault’s portfolio of Intelligent Data Services, including Metallic and its recently announced Ransomware Protection and Response Services, will be a focal point of the keynotes to be delivered. Microsoft’s CTO David Totten, as well as Metallic’s CTO and general manager, David Ngo and Manoj Nair, respectively, will speak on how both parties’ joint technologies have helped customers secure their data against cyber threats in increasingly hybrid environments.

Mirchandani, will also be amongst the prominent keynoters of the day, sharing his unique insights on the industry, large-scale digital transformation, and the pervasive shift to SaaS.
