Boomi ‘Out of This World’ event to showcase the future of intelligent, automated enterprise connectivity

Modern enterprises are accelerating toward a cloud-first world amid a perfect storm of technological innovation and unprecedented market shifts. With the demand for greater agility and the need to support a distributed workforce, businesses today are undergoing fundamental change — leaning on public cloud services such as Amazon Web Services Inc. and a myriad of software-as-a-service applications.

Companies are continually adding more cloud- and service-based technologies into the mix, causing connectivity to evolve from what was once a minor headache into an imperative. But in the race to innovate, businesses have inadvertently created data silos leading to fragmented experiences that hamper efficiency. Now, the ability to intelligently connect data, systems, workflows, processes and people has become critical to success. It’s the aspiration of every business, and integration platform provider Boomi Inc. says its destiny is to help organizations achieve that goal.

“The majority of organization’s applications aren’t connected,” said a Boomi representative in a pre-event interview with SiliconANGLE Media. “The need to connect is dire; the pressure is worse than it’s ever been. You have to connect fast, or else.”

Now going it alone as an independent company following its recent split from Dell Technologies Inc., Boomi is hosting its first standalone event this week, “Out of This World,” where it will outline its vision for the future of connectivity.

On Nov. 11, SiliconANGLE’s livestreaming studio theCUBE will air exclusive executive interviews during our Boomi: The Future of Connectivity event, recapping key analysis from Boomi’s Out of This World event. TheCUBE will talk with Boomi’s Chief Executive Officer Chris McNabb; Chief Operating Officer Chris Port; Senior Vice President and Head of Products Ed Macosky; and Chief Marketing Officer Mandy Dhaliwal for an inside look at the macro trends Boomi solves for customers, real-world examples, and more. Integrated ecosystems matter

With an estimated 68% of enterprise data going unused, according to research from International Data Corp., it has become critical for organizations to identify, prepare, catalog and ensure one of their most precious resources is usable.

“Boomi’s value proposition is around the fast-growing low code/no code automation market, powering agile modern application development,” said John Furrier, SiliconANGLE founder and editor and theCUBE host. “This market is growing very fast, and Boomi as an independent company can capture more share than it could as part of Dell.”

Analysts are inclined to agree. Gartner Inc. sees the integration platform-as-a-service market as one of the fastest-growing enterprise software market segments and forecasts it to hit $2.7 billion in revenue by 2024.

Boomi, recently named a leader in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Integration Platform as a Service for the eighth year in succession, is sitting pretty at the top of that segment.

“We’re positioned to grow, and we have an incredible amount of things coming together,” the Boomi rep said. “The world of integration-as-a-service is just taking off.”

Furrier believes that whoever manages to crack the code on providing enterprises with cloud-scale operations and automation that drives efficiency and value, while reducing friction for developers, will win the IPaaS market.

“Boomi has an opportunity with its experience in integration,” Furrier stated. “Automation, data and seamless integration of systems is the Holy Grail for next-generation cloud-to-edge enterprise infrastructure.”
