New Cybereason MDR Mobile App allows for remote response to security threats

Cybersecurity platform provider Cybereason Inc. today launched a new mobile app that allows customers to respond from their phone to potential cyber threats anywhere in the world.

The Cybereason Managed Detection and Response Mobile App provides instant access to the Cybereason MDR Dashboard, allowing customers to address possible threats immediately and connect 24X7 with the Cybereason Global Security Operations Center whenever cybercriminals strike.

Mobile apps providing access to security services are not new, but Cybereason argues that its offering differs from competitors’. The app provides the ability to understand quickly the full scope of attacks in real time, leveraging its MalOp (malicious operation) Detection Engine. Using the Cybereason MDR Mobile App allows customers to see detailed intelligence for active MalOps, how they map to the MITRE ATT&CK framework and the criticality threat level.

Cybereason MDR Mobile App features include visibility into detections and active MalOps to better understand the scope of an attack and how they align to the MITRE ATT&CK Framework and anytime access to dashboards and the ability to initiate responses from any mobile device. The app quickly identifies compromised machines to remediate and minimize downtime and workflow disruptions with the ability to remotely initiate response actions confidently.

Along with the ability to contact the Cybereason Global SOC to address potential threats right away, the app also provides access to reports and industry news so that users can stay abreast of the latest tactics, techniques and procedures used by threat actors.

“The Cybereason MDR Mobile App is a game changer for our customers, providing instant access to detections and full visibility into threats from any mobile device at any time from anywhere in the world,” Lior Div, Cybereason’s founder and chief executive, said in a statement. “With cybercriminals often attacking during off-peak hours when organizations are most vulnerable, the Cybereason Mobile MDR App gives defenders the ability to stop threats before they escalate to a serious breach event.”

The Cybereason MDR Mobile App is now available in the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

Div, along with Sunil Potti, general manager and vice president of cloud security at Google Cloud, spoke with David Nicholson, host of theCUBE, SiliconANGLE Media’s livestreaming studio, in October. They discussed a collaboration between Cybereason and Google LLC that offers proactive, automated threat detection and elimination.

“What’s happening right now, there is basically a cold war that nobody is talking about,” Div said in the interview. “Everybody is hacking everybody and in the crossfire, we see all of those enterprises across the world.”
