What to expect at the ‘Build Your Cloud Center of Excellence’ event: Join theCUBE Mar. 3

[Editor’s Note: Important event information updated with new date.]

The shift to cloud has been a game-changer for businesses across various industries, enabling them to increase efficiency, scalability and innovation.

However, cloud operations present new challenges that traditional IT management practices may not be equipped to handle. For example, most companies adopting cloud technologies often struggle with managing costs, ensuring security and compliance, and navigating complex IT infrastructures across their on-premises and cloud infrastructure resources.

For these companies to properly address their hybrid, multicloud challenges, their modern cloud workloads require modern IT and cloud operating models that leverage automation; orchestration; and monitoring tools, processes and methodologies to optimize resource utilization and minimize downtime.

During the Mar. 3 “Build Your Cloud Center of Excellence” event, SiliconANGLE Media’s livestreaming studio theCUBE will talk with Hitachi Vantara executives about the company’s plans for hyperconverged infrastructures, including its expanding channel strategy and notable product/solution partnerships. Hitachi Application Reliability Centers

Cloud modernization and operations not only enable organizations to innovate and think differently about how they use their technology, but through hybrid and multicloud approaches they can also deliver new services and applications. Cloud offers organizations the opportunity to transform their IT infrastructure and drive innovation, but success depends on adopting modern cloud operating models and strategies that align with business goals and objectives.

To help businesses maximize the value of their cloud investments, Hitachi Vantara launched Hitachi Application Reliability Centers (HARC), an ecosystem of physical and digital centers that brings together people, processes and technologies to help businesses optimize their cloud workloads and hybrid environments. HARC offers a suite of solutions that align business continuity with scalable outcomes, for example, cloud migration, application modernization, cloud security, FinOps and cloud managed services, and are centered across three pillars to ensure their customers application portfolios are reliable, cost-optimized and always-on.

The Mar. 2 event focuses on a pragmatic discussion around managing and optimizing cloud operations. Attendees can look forward to learning from theCUBE’s industry analyst, Hitachi Vantara’s cloud experts and customers by hearing real-world use cases and successes that highlight the importance of building an effective cloud center of excellence (or CCoE). The conversation will appeal to those who are forward-thinking and looking for ways to deliver new services and applications through a modern approach to cloud transformation. The goal is to help companies understand how maximizing cloud ROI and lowering TCO can allow for greater flexibility, agility, and growth.

Accelerating the cloud journey

By way of HARC, Hitachi Vantara helps organizations accelerate their cloud transformation journey and helps them build and manage reliable, secure and cost-optimized cloud operations. HARC brings together the consulting and technical expertise of over 4,000 certified cloud experts with certifications across the top public cloud providers. Within the first year of HARC’s official launch, Hitachi demonstrated a commitment to continuously enrich HARC’s ecosystem through the opening of physical Application Reliability Centers in Dallas, Texas, and Hyderabad, India; and most recently by expanding its offerings to include Cloud Security Services.

HARC has already driven successful results for a variety of organizations, one of which was a  multinational conglomerate with extensive operations in HVAC, fire and security equipment that needed to establish always-availability for its digital solutions and site reliability engineering organizations. HARC oversaw management of the conglomerate’s RunOps, introduced continual service improvement to boost operational efficiency, and deployed observability tools across the infrastructure to spot irregularities in platform behavior. The results included 30% productivity improvement through automation and 90% detection of issues through the proactive implementation of observability on platforms.

For organizations struggling to manage and optimize their cloud operations or are ready to maximize cloud investments, theCUBE’s Mar. 3 event will feature insights on how to build a cloud center of excellence to gain a competitive edge.
