New CrowdStrike XDR service unifies human expertise with AI-powered automation and threat intelligence
Cybersecurity company CrowdStrike Holdings Inc. today announced a new managed extended detection and response service that unifies human expertise with AI-powered automation and threat intelligence.
CrowdStrike Falcon Complete XDR, built on the company’s Falcon platform, includes 24/7 expert management, threat hunting, monitoring and end-to-end remediation across all key attack surfaces to close the cybersecurity skills gap. With human expertise and AI automation, the service can be used to augment in-house teams of all skill levels, breaking down data and organizational silos to stop adversaries.
With the service, CrowdStrike is seeking to address the issue wherein nearly half of organizations believe they lack adequate security operations skills. Thrown into the mix is an estimated cybersecurity workforce gap of 3.4 million people, limiting organizations from hiring the staff needed to implement a mature security program.
“With Managed XDR services, organizations can entrust the implementation, management, response and end-to-end remediation of advanced threats across multiple vendors and attack surfaces,” Tom Etheridge, chief global services officer of CrowdStrike, said in a statement. He added that the company can offer that without the “burden, overhead, or costs of deploying and managing a 24/7 threat detection and response function on their own.”
Alongside the launch of Falcon Complete XDR, CrowdStrike also highlighted its Partner-Delivered Managed XDR Services. It’s for partners to leverage the Falcon platform to deliver MXDR services to their customers.
The collaboration between partners and CrowdStrike is said to have been successful in the MDR market as part of CrowdStrike’s “better-together strategy” for bringing XDR to organizations of all sizes. Leading global system integrators and managed security service providers have taken advantage of delivering MXDR services powered by CrowdStrike. Notable partners include BT Group plc, Eviden, Red Canary Inc., ReliaQuest LLC and Telefonica Tech S.A.
Geoff Swaine, global vice president of cloud and tech ecosystems and program strategy at CrowdStrike, spoke with theCUBE, SiliconANGLE Media Inc.’s livestream studio, earlier this month to discuss how CrowdStrike is enhancing security visibility by consolidating point tools.
