LogRhythm partners with Cimcor for enhanced cybersecurity capabilities

Security intelligence firm LogRhythm Inc. today announced a new partnership with file integrity monitoring company Cimcor Inc. to help organizations increase visibility and protect against modern cyberattacks.

The partnership leverages LogRhythm’s security information and event management platform and Cimcor’s file integrity monitoring solution, CimTrak, to ingest integrity data that can identify zero-day, or unpatched, attacks, as well as ransomware activity and configuration vulnerabilities. With the integration of the services, identified issues can then be addressed either manually or automatically by reverting to previously established trusted baselines for prompt resolution and removal.

Through the integration, LogRhythm can monitor the integrity of enterprise assets, be they physical, virtual, hybrid, air-gapped or in the cloud. CimTrak works across multiple operating systems and device types, managing files, directories, configurations, users, groups, policies, active directories, database schemas, cloud configurations, hypervisors, containers, network devices and ports.

Benefits of the integration, the company claims, include the ability to identify security breaches and incidents in seconds compared with an industry average of 207 days. The integration allows for remediation and the rollback of unwanted changes, such as malicious or circumvented changes, manually or automatically.

Through the integration, users can deploy and quickly get up in running in approximately an hour without the need for professional assistance. Users also gain visibility into unexpected changes in the enterprise.

“Security threats are constantly evolving, and organizations must remain vigilant in protecting their sensitive data and infrastructure,” Andrew Hollister, chief information security officer at LogRhythm, said ahead of the announcement. “Our partnership with Cimcor allows us to offer a holistic cybersecurity solution that not only detects and monitors threats but also safeguards the integrity and compliance of crucial files and systems.”

Hollister added that “by leveraging this joint offering, organizations can strengthen their security posture and effectively combat ever-evolving cyber threats.”

Logrhythm was previously in the news in January when it launched a series of expanded capabilities and integrations that offer a force multiplier for security teams. The updates were said to make it easier for teams to detect, investigate and report on potential threats. The additional features also included the ability to reduce the burden of managing threats and operating infrastructure.
