The digital consulting giant Infosys Ltd. has built its global practice in over 56 countries by identifying the key drivers of digital transformation for its clients.
In 2023, the primary drivers of digital transformation make for a short list.
“There is AI coupled with cloud; that is what’s driving digital transformation,” said Shyam Vijayan (pictured, left), AVP and head of the Google Cloud ecosystem at Infosys. “The cloud part gives you the scalability and the modern environment to innovate very, very fast, but the AI part gives you the insights that you can then turn into very quick decisions that can drive business growth and execution as well.”
Vijayan spoke with theCUBE industry analysts John Furrier and Lisa Martin at the Google Cloud Next event, during an exclusive broadcast on theCUBE, SiliconANGLE Media’s livestreaming studio. He was joined by Scott Krynock (right), associate vice president for alliances and business partner ecosystem at Infosys, and they discussed key ways that Infosys works with Google Cloud to help clients in their digital transformation journey. To help enterprise customers with transformation, Infosys has developed two major offerings, Cobalt and Topaz, for meeting cloud and AI needs.
“Cobalt is focused on the cloud part, so it has got hundreds of thousands of assets that we have built over time, from industry platforms all the way to technology adoption accelerators,” Vijayan said. “There is this whole layer of customization to be done on the hyperscaler environments in order for enterprises to take advantage of cloud. Topaz offerings are focused on the AI and generative AI capabilities.”
Application development is also a key area for Infosys, according to Krynock, and the company offers technology that simplifies and accelerates the app modernization journey for its clients in partnership with Google Cloud.
“This is one of the largest practices that we have inside Infosys,” Krynock said. “We’re showcasing our Infosys Live Enterprise Application Development Platform this week. It’s around workflows and AI enabled tools and really trying to simplify the app modernization journey on GCP.”
