Bridging the gap: VMware Explore emphasizes the need for business-centric architecture
VMware Explore 2023 is all about collaboration and new trends that can help companies create synergistic effects where the combination of businesses creates an effect greater than the sum of their individual parts.
This is exemplified in the partnership between Comdivision Consulting GmbH and End-2-End Enterprise Architecture, who are seeking to provide architecture solutions worldwide. The main focus is on delivering documentation and top-level implementation, specifically catering to customers seeking the expertise of VMware Inc. for developing cutting-edge applications across platforms.
“Basically, Comdivision and End-2-End Enterprise Architecture have formed a strategic alliance,” said Josh Odgers (pictured, right) founder, chief executive officer and chief architect at End-2-End Enterprise Architecture. “We’ve got a global team of experts, VCDX certified, highly certified architects and now we’re going to deliver consistent architecture globally to our customers.”
Odgers and Matthias Eisner (right), partner at Comdivision, spoke with theCUBE industry analysts Lisa Martin and Rob Strechay at VMware Explore 2023, during an exclusive broadcast on theCUBE, SiliconANGLE Media’s livestreaming studio. They discussed the partnership between the companies to deliver consistent architecture globally, prioritizing customer-centric solutions and bridging the gap between technical solution architects and the business side. Don’t create shelfware
Today’s architectural challenge is the disconnection between technical architects and the business side. The goal is to unite them for better outcomes.
In order to achieve desired results and avoid expenses, it is vital for organizations to integrate business requirements with the aspects at the initial stage of the design process. This cultural shift is necessary for positive outcomes, according to Eisner.
“What we see a lot are customers, they’re buying stuff, either hardware, software, licenses, whatever, and then they start trying to link all the bits and pieces together and wondering why the whole solution they think it is, is not working at all, not solving any business they have,” he said. “What we try is to convince customers … ‘Guys, let’s tell the business requirements, start with the architecture, then get into the process of buying hardware and software you need instead of creating shelfware.'”
