Sniffing out Gen AI use cases for UiPath Autopilot
With artificial intelligence reaching fever pitch, businesses can taste the promise of productivity to boost workforces, job satisfaction and bottom lines.
WESCO Distribution Inc., a century-old Fortune 500 company, is leveraging UiPath Inc.’s Autopilot and Clipboard AI to automate several tasks, including document-heavy operations.
“Our use case with UiPath is all about automating the unique solutions that our customers, our suppliers and our partners require in order to succeed in their jobs,” said Maxim Ioffe (pictured, right), global intelligent automation leader at WESCO. ” We also have a lot of different document types and this is where Clipboard AI can be really instrumental for us to take those documents and convert them to something digital that we can do something with.”
Ioffe and Imran Aziz (left), director of product management at UiPath, spoke with theCUBE industry analysts Lisa Martin and Dave Vellante at the UiPath FORWARD event, during an exclusive broadcast on theCUBE, SiliconANGLE Media’s livestreaming studio. They discussed the potential for Autopilot to enhance efficiency, improve employee satisfaction and deliver better customer experiences. (* Disclosure below.)
Putting things on Autopilot
Autopilot, unveiled at FORWARD, is a suite of capabilities infusing generative AI into its specialized product line. It effectively interprets unstructured documents and automates actions based on the content, showcasing its adaptability and potential to revolutionize everyday tasks, according to Aziz.
“That’s where Autopilot, and its human in the loop, is important,” Aziz said. “One of the things we strongly believe in is that humans make AI more powerful. So it’s a great tool, it assists you and gives you capabilities that you didn’t have before, but you take it to the next level yourself.”
“This is a sniff of the scenarios that are possible,” Aziz furthered. “There’s other capabilities where Autopilot can help with day-to-day tasks, learn what you’re doing, as well as help coworkers. That kind of stuff, just to leave you a teaser, is going to come next.”
