What to expect during Boomi World: Join theCUBE May 8-9

Two of technology’s hottest trends, artificial intelligence and cloud computing, both run on data. As a company specializing in application programming interface management and integration platform as a service, Boomi LP has been capitalizing on the AI boom with innovative data integration and automation products.

At Boomi World 2024, analysts, software engineers and data platform experts will gather to discuss what API integration looks like in the AI era. The first Boomi World took place in San Francisco in 2018 and, after a couple virtual events during the pandemic and several Boomi World Tour stops, the event is returning this year in person.

Join theCUBE, SiliconANGLE Media’s livestreaming studio, on May 8-9 for exclusive coverage of Boomi World 2024. TheCUBE analysts John Furrier and Savannah Peterson will interview experts in data management, API management and more on the evolving field of application and data integration and how Boomi is riding the AI wave. Check out what’s in store for theCUBE’s coverage of Boomi World 2024:

Using AI to tell users more about their data

Boomi is projected to reach the $500 million recurring revenue mark this year, according to Chief Executive Officer Steve Lucas, and has been aggressive about incorporating AI into its product line. The company recently secured two patents in the field of AI and declared its intention to continue with an “AI-driven approach.”

In 2023, Boomi introduced Boomi GPT, a generative AI bot intended to help users build integrations, APIs and data models through natural language prompts, as a part of its Boomi AI suite. Boomi has de-identified data on over 200 million unique integration design patterns from customers using its integration platform as a service offering, which helps fuel the suggestions provided to customers within Boomi AI.

“You’re collecting all this metadata about your business, processes, business rules and outcomes,” Lucas said in an interview this year. “Large language models are really good at understanding what a human wants to do, so why can’t humans have a conversation with their business about itself?”

Boomi GPT within Boomi AI uses natural language prompts to build integrations on the spot. The company is continually enhancing Boomi AI and will be making some related announcements at Boomi World.

Forging a place in the industry with the ‘three A’s’

The data integration market is predicted to reach between $20 billion and $30 billion, so the future is looking promising for Boomi. It was recognized as a Cloud 100 Company for 2024 by CRN, a brand of The Channel Company, and was positioned as a leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for iPaaS for the 10th consecutive year.

“Boomi sits right in the middle of providing solutions of all of that to make a business more efficient,” said Ed Macosky, chief product and technology officer at Boomi, in an interview with theCUBE last year. “Not only that, but you can implement things very very quickly, because we’re a low-code platform.”

Boomi recently secured its StateRAMP authorization, emphasizing its commitment to cybersecurity. Even as they cement themselves further in the integration industry, Lucas hopes to see the market transform.

“The major software players like SAP, Oracle, Microsoft and Adobe don’t want to talk to each other,” said Lucas, a few months after taking on the role of CEO in December 2022. “We live in a heterogeneous world, and our job is to embrace the heterogeneity of organizations from the 40-year-old technology all the way up to what is cutting edge.”

As Boomi World returns this year, the company is remaining at the top of its game by staying laser-focused on making what Boomi has to offer essential to businesses.

“The future is three As: AI, APIs and automation,” Lucas said. “The vision is integration on one side of the coin and automation on the other.”
