In today’s digital landscape, where faster data processing and high throughput are key factors, incorporating artificial intelligence into the network infrastructure is critical. This reality has paved the way for Juniper Network Inc.’s AI-Native Networking Platform.
For networking to offer simplicity, increase productivity, provide assurance and be highly experienced to the end user, Juniper took the AI-native network route, according to Manoj Leelanivas (pictured), chief operating officer of Juniper Networks.
Juniper Networks’ Manoj Leelanivas talks to theCUBE about the company’s AI-Native Networking Platform.
“When you think about networking, you think about connectivity, but we want to transcend connectivity,” Leelanivas said. “We give completely simplified operations for their network, and for end users, superlative experience, whether it’s in the Team or Zoom or whatever, and the AI-native network is all about providing that. We are almost at a point where the network is almost self-healing — 80 to 90% of the problems are corrected by our Marvis AI engine.”
Leelanivas spoke with theCUBE Research’s Bob Laliberte at the Juniper Networks AI-Native NOW event, during an exclusive broadcast on theCUBE, SiliconANGLE Media’s livestreaming studio. They discussed why an AI-native network is a game-changer in today’s computing environment. (* Disclosure below.)
Since the dynamic allocation of resources, efficient scaling and latency minimization are at the heart of an AI-native network. Juniper Networks makes this a reality, thanks to the presence of many data points, Leelanivas pointed out. Its cloud-native platform also comes in handy in the realization of a self-healing and driving network.
“We’ve been collecting multiple data points from users, access points, switches, routers and security devices for eight years now, so lots of data,” Leelanivas said. “In much similar ways as you have a self-driving world happening with the Teslas and the EVs, you have a self-driving network forming here, and that’s what the AI-native network is all about.”
Getting enterprises up and running faster in the AI era continues to be top of mind. As a result, Juniper offers a blueprint meant to accelerate time to value, simplify AI adoption and present a self-driving network,
“There is always the knowledge gap, skills gap — you don’t get enough people who know AI well, and training people isn’t easy,” Leelanivas noted. “This is where Juniper has taken a brave new step in terms of reducing the time to get to be AI comfortable and actually AI native as soon as possible — this is our enterprise blueprint. We are able to deliver almost 9X the value compared to anything else out in the industry. We are really creating a self-driving network that is very easy to adopt.”
