Safe Security launches Safe X to help CISOs prioritize cyber risks with AI

Artificial intelligence-based cyber risk management company Safe Security today announced the launch of Safe X, a new generative AI-powered mobile app for chief information security officers that delivers real-time business impact insights into their cybersecurity posture.

Safe X gives CISOs integrated data from all their existing cybersecurity products, converting them into insights required to make proactive cybersecurity decisions that drive the highest risk reduction. The focus is to enable better decision-making and improve risk prioritization.

Safe Security argues that while CISOs often invest millions into building their cyber stacks, they often lack critical business impact insights that are needed to effectively prioritize and protect their organization. Instead, they are often bogged down by a patchwork of manual reports and outdated dashboards that lack context and offer only piecemeal snapshots of their cybersecurity posture.

Safe X addresses the issue through the use of AI that delivers instant answers on an organization’s cyber risk posture, complete with personalized risk mitigation recommendations. With cyber regulations and threats from cybercriminals continually rising, the company says, Safe X delivers real-time insights and the ability to make fast, data-informed decisions that are more important than ever.

CISOs can quickly prioritize and address cyber risks that pose the greatest material impact on their business, whether related to financial, reputational, operational or compliance concerns. Safe X empowers security leaders to act immediately, helping safeguard their organizations against critical threats.

Safe X leverages generative AI to provide instant answers to pressing cybersecurity questions. Users can ask questions such as how vulnerable they are to the latest ransomware attacks, what cyber risks have the highest business impact, or how effective their investments are in reducing risks. It also helps determine breach materiality in hours, assess supplier risks and compare cybersecurity performance to industry peers.

“A fundamental shift is needed in managing cyber risk,” said co-founder and Chief Executive Saket Modi. “We must move away from manual, point-in-time dashboards and embrace automated, real-time insights powered by AI to manage and mitigate cyber threats effectively. It’s time to prioritize what truly affects the business and get these insights in seconds on their mobile phones and not weeks and months with static dashboards and documents.”

Safe Security is a venture capital-backed startup that has raised $100 million in funding over 11 rounds, including a round of $33 million in 2021. Investors in the company include Telstra Ventures Pty. Ltd., Fidelity Ventures LP, Eight Roads Ventures UK LLP, Western Technology Investment and MS&AD Ventures Inc.
