Nerdio expands Manager for MSP platform to include full Microsoft 365 management

Azure Virtual Desktop management company Nerdio Inc. today announced an expansion of its Nerdio Manager for MSP platform with new capabilities that extend beyond Azure Virtual Desktop to include full Microsoft 365 management.

Described as delivering new “Modern Work” features, the new capabilities transform Nerdio Manager into a comprehensive Microsoft cloud management suite that allows managed service providers to manage their client’s full Microsoft 365 environments. The support includes the streamlined management of endpoints to ensure complete control over devices and to improve overall operational efficiency.

Key features include centralized management of Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint and Exchange Online, which streamlines collaboration, file storage and compliance.

Additional enhancements include simplified identity management through Entra ID and CIS policies, ensuring security compliance across environments. MSPs can also now manage Active Directory users in hybrid setups and use Console Connect for remote troubleshooting on both physical and virtual endpoints.

“Nerdio’s new Modern Work features align with Microsoft’s goal of simplifying cloud management for Microsoft 365 for small and medium business customers and the managed service providers who serve them,” said Jose Gomez Cueto, general manager of small and medium business at Microsoft. “As organizations move to Azure with cloud-first strategies, Nerdio’s tools offer the scalability and flexibility needed to easily manage Microsoft 365 applications, enhancing security and driving operational efficiency.”

In addition to the new functionality, Nerdio also today introduced a new, more flexible pricing model that has been designed to better accommodate MSPs of all sizes.

The new pricing model includes the addition of a new per-customer, or per-tenant, pricing structure that allows MSPs to pay a flat rate regardless of the number of users. The change is said by Nerdio to make managing entire customer environments, whether small or large, more predictable and affordable.

Nerdio is a venture capital-backed startup that has raised $127 million over three rounds, including a round of $117 million in December 2022. Investors in the company include Updata Partners and MK Capital Management.
