Insightsoftware enters EPM market with JustPerform acquisition

Insightsoftware, a provider of software for chief financial officers, today announced its 29th acquisition since its 2018 founding, picking up enterprise performance management firm JustPerform Inc. for an undisclosed price.

Insightsoftware, which is the business name of GS Topco GP LLC, said JustPerform adds cloud-native planning, consolidation and reporting to its portfolio.

Enterprise performance management is a set of processes, tools and methodologies that organizations use to plan, monitor and optimize overall business performance. The market is expected to reach $5.5 billion this year.

JustPerform is described as an intelligent platform that simplifies financial closing and extended planning and analysis, a process that connects financial, strategic and operational plans across an organization. The platform provides role-based authorizations, audit trails and individual-level data controls for compliance while enabling more agile, process-driven decision-making.

Insightsoftware was formed in 2018 from the merger of Global Software Inc. and Hubble, the reporting component of the enterprise resource planning suite from J.D. Edwards & Co. That firm was acquired by Oracle Corp. in 2005. Insightsoftware raised C$1 billion (US $761 million) in 2021 and has been on an acquisition spree since its inception.

It claims to have grown 425% over the past five years, off an undisclosed base, and now has 32,000 global customers and more than 500,000 users. Its open business data fabric connects more than 200 data sources.

JustPerform says it emphasizes user-friendliness, streamlined processes and robust governance with the aim of enabling easier collaboration and greater business agility. It integrates with most leading ERP, customer relationship management and business intelligence systems, as well as spreadsheets to eliminate the manual collation and consolidation of an organization’s data.
