CYE acquires security and infrastructure technology from Solvo to strengthen cloud security management

Israeli cybersecurity firm CYE Ltd. announced today that it has acquired cloud security and infrastructure technology from adaptive cloud infrastructure security solutions startup Solvo for an undisclosed price.

The deal sees CYE acquire Solvo’s technology for cloud security posture management and cloud infrastructure entitlement management. The technology will complement CYE’s Hyber platform by providing deep visibility into the cloud assets of customers and by addressing configurations and other gaps.

Solvo’s Cloud Security Posture Management is a security solution designed to continuously monitor and manage cloud environments for misconfigurations, compliance risks and security vulnerabilities. It helps organizations detect and remediate issues such as excessive permissions, exposed storage and unencrypted data to reduce the risk of breaches in multicloud and hybrid environments.

The service focuses on controlling and managing identity and access permissions across cloud environments to enforce least privilege access. It analyzes user behavior, resource entitlements and policy configurations to help organizations prevent unauthorized access, mitigate insider threats and ensure compliance with security best practices.

CYE plans to integrate Solvo’s capabilities to allow businesses to continuously strengthen their cloud security posture, mitigate risk and safeguard their assets across hybrid and multicloud environments. The expanded capabilities will also improve solutions offered through channel partners and, in doing so, broaden CYE’s market reach and provide increased value to customers worldwide.

“As cloud adoption continues to accelerate, often with more than one cloud service provider, so does the scale of cybersecurity vulnerabilities and potential misconfigurations,” said Reuven Aronashvili, founder and chief executive of CYE. “The acquisition of Solvo’s technology adds native cloud-based considerations into organizational context to prioritize cloud weaknesses as part of our continuous exposure management platform.”

CYE is a venture capital-backed startup that had raised $120 million, including a round of $100 million in February 2021. Investors in the company include European private equity firm EQT AB and 83North Ltd.
