Oracle today is rolling out new role-based artificial intelligence agents within it Fusion Cloud Human Capital Management application aimed at automating tedious workflows and helping resolve common employee questions.
New agents in Release 25A of HCM address “problematic areas that require a lot of time and research,” said Miranda Nash, group vice president of Oracle AI. “They’re complicated topics and topics that are used infrequently and require research.” Many of the enhancements are oriented toward employee self-service, she said.
In the area of career development and support, a career planning guide helps employees create structured career progression plans with tailored goals, roadmaps and skill development plans. A performance and goals assistant helps employees improve goal-writing strategies and prepare for performance reviews. A learning and training adviser recommends relevant learning and training opportunities.
In the area of compensation benefits management, a timecard assistant automates timecard submissions. Another advisor guides people through tax withholding selections. Compensation Guidelines Analyst informs managers’ salary decisions based on market trends and company policies. The Leave and Absence Analyst helps with time-off requests and clarifies rights and benefits based on individual circumstances.
For employee lifecycle management, a new hire onboarding assistant provides new employees with information about policies and company culture. A job seeker analyst offers resume tips, interview coaching, and job search strategies.
Another self-service feature covers available perks and awards. A personal and employment details assistant maintains and updates employee profiles covering milestones such as promotions, transfers and relocations. An employee contracts analyst summarizes key clauses and terms in employment contracts.
Every HCM customer has its own environment isolated in the cloud and access controls are tailored to the user, Nash said. Oracle has deployed most of the features internally and has “shifted [human resources] folks off of service functions to do more strategic work,” she said.
Oracle delivered over 100 generative AI features across its Fusion portfolio in 2024 and expects to exceed that total this year, Nash said.
