Data security software provider Rubrik Inc. today announced a range of new cyber resilience features at its annual Cyber Resilience Summit, with updates that focus on helping organizations better anticipate, detect and recover from cyberthreats, regardless of where their data resides.
“As cybercriminals continue to evolve, so must we,” said co-founder and Chief Technology Officer Arvind Nithrakashyap. “By integrating advanced protections across major platforms, we’re empowering organizations to quickly identify compromised data and accelerate recovery efforts.”
The first set of announcements focuses on cloud and platform support for where critical business operations live, from DevOps to product. Rubrik is meeting enterprises at their platform of choice to deliver unified management, advanced cyber resilience capabilities and enhanced visibility across more cloud, software-as-a-service and enterprise apps.
Today, Rubrik has introduced Cloud Posture Risk Management to help organizations automatically discover and inventory their cloud data assets. CPR allows businesses to strengthen their backup posture and reduce both risk and unnecessary costs by identifying unprotected or sensitive data.
Rubrik is bringing its security expertise to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, starting with protection for Oracle databases and Oracle Cloud VMware Solution. The functionality will allow customers to safeguard critical workloads across OCI with the same unified backup and recovery tools used across other environments.
To protect popular open-source and containerized workloads further, Rubrik has added support for PostgreSQL and Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization. The capabilities provide automated, immutable backups and rapid recovery options for businesses increasingly reliant on Kubernetes and open-source databases.
For DevOps teams, Rubrik now secures Azure DevOps and GitHub environments with automated backups, granular recovery and extended retention. This helps organizations maintain compliance and business continuity while accelerating software development and deployment cycles.
Also new today, Rubrik has introduced Identity Recovery to address the growing threat of identity-based cyberattacks, which increasingly target Active Directory and Entra ID environments. The solution automates the recovery of entire identity systems, helping organizations quickly restore operations without reintroducing malware or misconfigurations.
Identity Recovery reduces manual complexity and minimizes downtime following an attack through Active Directory Forest Recovery. With Identity Recovery, cyber resilience is strengthened and critical identity services remain secure and available.
On the cyber resilience front, Rubrik announced new capabilities designed to help organizations detect, mitigate and recover from cyber threats faster. The features focus on minimizing operational disruptions and keeping critical business processes running smoothly.
Rubrik is enhancing security for Microsoft Corp.’s Azure and Amazon Web Services Inc. with advanced machine learning-powered tools, including Anomaly Detection, Data Discovery and Classification, with Threat Hunting and Threat Monitoring coming soon. The features work together to proactively identify threats, protect sensitive data and accelerate recovery times.
The company is also extending Orchestrated Recovery to Azure Virtual Machines, allowing customers to automate recovery processes and schedule regular test recoveries. The result is a reduction in complexity and human error while providing detailed reporting to ensure readiness in the face of an attack.
Last but not least, Rubrik also announced a new Turbo Threat Hunting capability that scans backup environments at scale to identify clean recovery points within seconds using pre-computed metadata. Additionally, Enterprise Edition for Microsoft 365 is gaining features such as Sensitive Data Discovery and Prioritized Recovery, with more advanced threat detection tools on the way.
