What to expect during Elevate — The Global Commerce Summit: Join theCUBE May 23

Digital commerce is entering a new era defined by speed, flexibility and personalization, where businesses reject rigid, legacy platforms in favor of modular, cloud-native solutions. This shift toward composable commerce is setting the stage for agile, customer-centric growth.

For commercetools GmbH, the road ahead to commerce modernization will be of key focus during Elevate — The Global Commerce Summit, from May 20-22. It comes amid a big step forward in retail, according to John Furrier, executive analyst with theCUBE Research.

“This is probably the year you start to see that tipping point, where the whole world goes, ‘OK, tech and data and AI are all together,’” Furrier said earlier this year. “You’re seeing all kinds of new analytics out there. Martech stacks are being retrofitted. Commerce is changing.”

The event will explore the latest platform features, integration capabilities and strategic focus areas, as well as spotlight how commercetools and its partners are aiming to co-create end-to-end solutions that extend platform value. TheCUBE’s coverage will discuss the latest news and product announcements around composable commerce: Join us on May 23 for exclusive reporting at Elevate — The Global Commerce Summit, live on theCUBE, SiliconANGLE Media’s livestreaming studio. Composable commerce detailed

Retail transformation has become a priority amid seismic shifts driven by AI, data and next-generation platforms. That has pushed technology providers to keep pace with digital-native expectations and accelerate the rise of headless commerce.

As digital-native generations such as Gen Z gain buying power, their expectations for seamless, tech-driven experiences are reshaping retail, according to commercetools Chief Marketing Officer Jen Jones. That’s where the company’s commercetools InStore comes into play, as outlined on theCUBE.

“There’s always that disconnect between that brand that feels like it knows you on your app versus that in-store experience,” Jones said. “Our commercetools InStore announcement … brings all of that core commerce capability into our physical store environment.”

In 2024, the company spoke of its road toward a possible IPO. At the time, the company discussed its strategy for the months and years ahead.

“We’ve just got to get ourselves ready, and when the time comes — whether it’s market-related, when we’re ready, whatever it might be — we just want to make sure we’re in the right spot for it,” said Dan Murphy, chief financial officer of commercetools, speaking to theCUBE about a possible IPO.

The next steps for commercetools and how it aims to lead the shift to composable commerce for agile, customer-centric growth will be a main focus at the Elevate — The Global Commerce Summit. TheCUBE will deliver full event coverage along with analyst-driven insights on the future of composable commerce. You can follow theCUBE’s wall-to-wall coverage for firsthand insights.
