IntuigenceAI raises $10M and launches AI engineer platform IntuiAI

Artificial intelligence startup IntuigenceAI Inc. today announced that it has raised $10 million in new funding and also launched IntuiAI, a superintelligence AI-based engineer.

Founded in 2024, IntuigenceAI creates synthetic AI engineers designed to work alongside human talent in refining, petrochemicals, pulp and paper, steelmaking and automotive industries. The company was founded by former Microsoft Corp., Amazon.com Inc. and Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. executive Moe Tanabian with an aim to expand global engineering capacity from 30 million to 1 billion engineers worldwide, potentially accelerating breakthroughs in renewable energy, infrastructure development and clean water systems.

The new IntuiAI offering combines reasoning, large language models and agentic workflows to automate complex industrial tasks that would typically require weeks of coordination and analysis. The agents, or “Intuigents” as the company calls them, work alongside humans to streamline processes like maintenance planning, data analysis and project execution, allowing human engineers to focus on innovation and problem-solving.

IntuiAI claims some impressive stats, with the AI scoring an 81% first-time pass rate on the standardized NCEES Professional Engineering exams for both chemical and mechanical engineering, surpassing models including ChatGPT-4o and DeepSeek by a factor of eight. The system has already been piloted by several Fortune 100 companies aiming to cut costs and speed up engineering workflows, potentially saving millions of dollars through automation of routine tasks.

The offering operates through IntuigenceAI’s Intelligent Board platform, which automatically ingests live data from industrial monitoring systems and breaks down problems into manageable tasks, as well as allowing engineers to upload technical drawings, manuals and equipment data. The Synthetic engineers generate recommendations and analyses with clear checkpoints for human oversight, ensuring safety and compliance as part of the process.

The platform also integrates with Microsoft Fabric and OneLake, allowing large enterprises to deploy AI engineers at scale while leveraging existing Microsoft infrastructure. The synthetic engineers can join Microsoft Teams calls, analyze equipment performance in real time and securely access organizational data, allowing for collaboration between AI and human teams in high-stakes environments.

“By integrating IntuigenceAI’s synthetic AI engineer with the Microsoft Fabric open data platform, we are addressing the critical workforce shortage in industrial sectors,” said Uli Homann, corporate vice president and distinguished architect at Microsoft. “This collaboration empowers thousands of Microsoft Fabric customers to easily transform their industrial operations data into actionable insights, driving innovation and efficiency across the industry.”

Innovation Endeavors led the seed round, with Recursive Ventures and Think+ Ventures also participating. The funding will be used to do further development and scaling of the IntuiAI platform, accelerating research and development, integrating AI across more engineering disciplines and expanding enterprise deployments.
