AttackIQ debuts Watchtower to automate cyberthreat intelligence analysis

Security optimization platform company AttackIQ Inc. today announced the launch of AttackIQ Watchtower, an artificial intelligence-powered cyberthreat intelligence analyzer that brings visibility into adversaries that are actively targeting enterprise environments.

Watchtower hyperlocalizes threat intelligence and auto-generates tailored emulation scenarios to deliver contextual insights that AttackIQ claims are typically available only to well-resourced threat intel teams.

The new solution seeks to assist with the issue wherein security teams are often overwhelmed by noisy cyberthreat intelligence feeds and generic guidance, creating uncertainty as to where to focus their testing efforts. AttackIQ argues that many organizations lack the time, budget or dedicated staff to sift through data and map threats to action.

AttackIQ Watchtower solves this issue by using AI to continuously analyze live adversary activity specific to each customer’s environment. With Watchtower, security teams gain access to hyperlocal threat intelligence based on real-world behavior rather than industry averages or static reports.

Watchtower is complemented by the AttackIQ Virtual Advisor, which automatically prescribes the most relevant adversary emulation scenarios to validate whether the organization’s cyber defenses and readiness are adequate when attacker behavior is observed.

Along with hyperlocalized intelligence, AttackIQ Watchtower offers security teams an automated approach to continuously testing and improving their cyber defenses. The platform evolves testing scenarios based on real-time adversary behavior, allowing teams to keep pace with the latest tactics and techniques.

AttackIQ also says Watchtower delivers clear, measurable outcomes that demonstrate how well existing defenses perform against real-world threats. Security leaders can use Watchtower to communicate cybersecurity readiness to executives and boards, supporting a shift from reactive playbooks to proactive, evidence-based decision-making.

“What we’re delivering with AttackIQ Watchtower is a fully automated AI CTI Analyzer that provides actionable hyperlocal threat intelligence, showing organizations what’s happening at their front door right now, not what’s happening across your industry or region,” said Paul Reid, vice president of Adversary Research at AttackIQ. “With the help of AI, we’re bringing enterprise-grade cyber threat intel capabilities to security teams of all sizes, giving them access to insights and testing precision that were previously out of reach.”

AttackIQ was previously in the news in February when it acquired risk intelligence and vulnerability management solutions startup DeepSurface Security Inc. for an undisclosed price. Though not disclosed by AttackIQ, it’s likely technology from the acquisition has been integrated into the new Watchtower offering.
