Silverfort brings unified visibility to all identities across cloud, on-prem and AI agents

Unified identity security company Silverfort Inc. today announced the release of two new foundational capabilities — Access Intelligence and Identity Graph & Inventory — that give enterprises tools to proactively counter identity threats while simultaneously boosting operational efficiencies.

Both releases expand Silverfort’s identity security platform with observability and enforcement of inline security controls to every type of identity, from humans to machines and artificial intelligence agents, across every enterprise system and environment, from on-premises to cloud.

With the releases, Silverfort discovers every identity, maps every access path and enforces real-time security controls to stop any identity threat, block lateral movement and prevent privilege escalation.

Silverfort Access Intelligence enables identity and access management teams to easily understand which users are actually accessing which resources at a large enterprise scale and minimize unused and unnecessary access permissions. The offering goes beyond showing who has the permissions to showing also who is really using them and who is not.

Access Intelligence maps identity access paths and access activity across both on-premises and cloud environments to help organizations uncover hidden access paths, enforce least privilege, remove stale resources and stop threats before they spread. With the capability, organizations can revoke unnecessary access or retire unused assets and accounts, which also helps in cutting significant costs to the organization.

The second release, Identity Graph & Inventory, takes IAM observability to the next level by helping organizations understand their hybrid identity fabric, improve efficiency and eliminate security blind spots. It shifts visibility from static, fragmented reports organizations struggle to gather from various IAM silos to dynamic, real-time maps of identities, entitlements, attributes and relationships. The capability offers a unified, centralized view of identities and their relationships across cloud and on-prem, with both visual graphs and detailed exportable tables.

Silverfort says that by unifying visibility into a single source of truth, customers have the context to understand identities and their identity attack surface across complex hybrid environments.

“The evolving threats around AI, non-human identities and privileged access require a unified platform that can discover, analyze and protect all identities, everywhere,” said Hed Kovetz, founder and chief executive officer of Silverfort. “We purpose-built the Silverfort Identity Security Platform to be the next-gen identity security foundational layer that organizations have been looking for and to solve this problem end-to-end, at scale.”

Silverfort is a venture capital-backed startup that has raised $222 million over five rounds, including rounds of $116 million in January 2024 and $65 million in April 2022. Investors in the company include Brighton Park Capital Management, Acrew Capital Management, Citi Ventures Inc., GM Ventures, Maor Investments Ltd., Vintage Investment Partners Ltd. and Singtel Innov8 Pte. Ltd.
