Mobile access platform startup Hypori Inc. today announced the launch of Hypori Secure Messaging, a new service that gives government agencies and enterprises the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively without compromising security or user privacy.

Hypori Secure Messaging offers an auditable, enterprise-grade channel built on an architecture aligned with strict security standards and compliance frameworks, such as Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program, Department of Defense Cloud Computing Security Requirements and Guide Impact Level 5 requirements to ensure secure mobile communications and regulatory accountability.

The new service provides centralized, compliant storage so records remain intact for the full retention period, differing from consumer apps where data can be lost or deleted. Additionally, users do not have to worry about giving up their privacy or the risk of their phone being confiscated, as official communications remain inside a virtual workspace, with no data touching personal devices and no visibility into personal apps, data or use.

Secure Messaging will provide current Hypori customers, which notably include the U.S. Army, Air Force and Space Force, along with leading healthcare organizations and prospective users across government, defense, banking/finance and enterprise customers, with a secure way to extend their use of Hypori to secure encrypted instant messaging.

The service offers government and defense organizations secure communications for mission-critical decisions, with full auditability to meet strict records management and accountability requirements. For healthcare providers, Secure Messaging offers HIPAA-compliant messaging between doctors and staff, with auditable records to support regulatory proof and patient privacy. For finance and enterprise, it provides confidential executive collaboration with the ability to audit conversations for compliance and legal protection.

Hypori is a venture capital-backed startup that has raised $44.5 million in funding, including an extended Series B round of $12 million in January. Investors in the company include GreatPoint Ventures, Hale Capital Partners, UBS Group AG, Carahsoft Technology Corp. and AE Industrial Partners LP.
