Frontegg unveils AgentLink to bridge SaaS products with agentic AI through secure MCP connections

Identity management solution provider Frontegg Ltd. today announced the launch of FrontEgg AgentLink, an enterprise-grade Model Context Protocol server that allows software-as-a-service applications to open their application programming interfaces securely to artificial intelligence interfaces such as ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini.

AgentLink offers a unified control and communication layer that creates a hosted MCP server, applies fine-grained authorization and enforces guardrails to prevent agents from exposing users’ sensitive data or taking catastrophic actions. The service is low-code and pitched as the fastest path to making a SaaS product usable through the agentic platforms that users increasingly prefer.

The new offering seeks to assist enterprises that are rushing to embrace AI but must also balance risk management. A KPMG study found that 90% of enterprises are looking to embrace AI, while at the same time, 82% of leaders cited risk management as the biggest challenge to their AI strategies.

“Every SaaS company is under pressure to connect to agentic interfaces,” said co-founder and Chief Executive Sagi Rodin. “In the AI revolution, missing the window is costly, but so is recklessness.”

AgentLink gives SaaS companies a fast path to expose their APIs to agentic AI interaction, while also being able to prevent rogue AI behavior. The service makes sure that agents are distinguished from humans so agent-specific controls can be applied.

It has three core capabilities. The first, Agent Connector, creates a hosted MCP server that exposes chosen API tools of a SaaS product to custom-built agents or established generative AI platforms. The second, Agent Identity and Access Management, enforces step-up authentication, human-in-the-loop approvals, masking of sensitive data and role-based access. And the third capability, Agent Analytics, offers full visibility into agent adoption, tools usage and blocked actions, which helps to improve security and auditing.

The company quoted early testers as pleased with the service. Nir Rothenberg, chief information security officer at Rapyd Financial Network (2016) Ltd., said that “With a quick copy/paste of our APIs, we could safely open up our apps to agents and the LLM platforms, moving faster and more securely than ever.”

AgentLink is available today, delivered through cloud-based and open-source options.

Frontegg is a venture capital-backed startup that has raised $70 million over three rounds, including rounds of $25 million in December 2021 and $40 million in July 2022.
