Pre-attack prevention platform startup Malanta launched today with an announcement that it has raised $10 million in funding.
It plans to use the money to add new Indicators of Pre-Attack types and data sources and deepen integrations so customers can automatically apply Malanta’s preemptive intelligence across their existing controls.
Founded in 2024, Malanta’s offering is focused on pre-attack prevention, which identifies and disrupts threats before they take shape, unlike traditional systems that respond only after breaches occur.
The platform detects Indicators of Pre-Attack — early signals such as malicious domain registrations, phishing kit development or command-and-control setup — to allow organizations to act weeks before traditional indicators of compromise appear.
Core to Malanta’s offering is a predictive intelligence engine powered by artificial intelligence that continuously scans global internet activity to surface pre-attack signals. The platform correlates signals with a company’s digital footprint using what Malanta calls neural exposure mapping, identifies which assets are most at risk, and how adversaries may move next.
The idea is to help enterprises transition from a reactive posture to one of active anticipation, where potential threats are neutralized before attackers can launch their campaigns.
Malanta’s platform is designed for immediate deployment to provide visibility within minutes of onboarding. The platform acts as a pre-attack disruption layer that automatically ranks imminent threats, identifies exploitable weaknesses and offers actionable steps for security teams to intervene early.
The company’s founders, Kobi Ben Naim, Guy Ben Arie, Yossi Dantes and Tal Kandel, are ex-CyberArk Software Ltd. employees who have more than two decades of combined experience. At CyberArk, which was acquired by Palo Alto Networks Inc. in July, the founders specialized in both defensive and offensive security, deep-tech engineering and AI development.
While only formally launching today, Malanta is already in use by organizations such as the Israel National Cyber Directorate, where the technology has proven its effectiveness in dismantling live adversary infrastructure targeting hundreds of companies.
The seed round was led by Cardumen Capital, with The Group Ventures and a number of angel investors also participating. Individual investors include Udi Mokady, founder and executive chairman of CyberArk and Benny Schneider, Harel Prag and Amit Greener, general partners at Rollout Ventures.
“The only way to level the playing field is to prepare, like the attackers, before the attack takes place — in other words, focus on pre-attack prevention,” said Gonzalo Martínez De Azagra, founder and general partner at Cardumen Capital. “The [Malanta] team has created a durable advantage for enterprises of all sizes.”
