Agentic data preparation startup Prophecy Inc. today announced a new “rapid deployment option” for companies that need to get new data pipelines up and running for their most urgent and critical new projects.
The company said Enterprise Express is aimed at companies with smaller teams that are looking to deliver a clear return on investment for AI projects in the shortest possible timeframe.
Prophecy is the creator of an automated system that uses artificial intelligence agents to simplify and streamline the messy business of creating the data pipelines required for AI applications. It’s like a copilot that works to make structured and unstructured data easily accessible no matter where it’s located, be it in the cloud or on-premises. It’s compatible with Databricks, Snowflake and Google LLC’s BigQuery, and provides users with a simple visual designer tool that quickly generates standardized and open code to extract, transform and deliver information to where it needs to be.
The company refers to its agentic data delivery process as “generate, refine and deploy.” It says it provides companies with the perfect balance between productivity and oversight, with agents automating the dirty work while still allowing humans to remain in control.
Users can simply describe the data they need for their applications and Prophecy’s AI agents will generate a visual data workflow based on those prompts. Users can then refine the workflow based on their needs, and once they’re satisfied, Prophecy can deploy it in production. Each visual workflow it generates is constructed using Structured Query Language code and extensively tested to ensure it adheres to the customer’s privacy, security and governance best practices.
With its new Enterprise Express offering, Prophecy is providing smaller teams with full access to its agentic data pipeline creation platform at a cost of just $40,000 for 20 seats. For now, it only works with Databricks, but the company intends to add support for Snowflake and BigQuery soon. In addition to the full platform, users will get access to four new AI agents that specialize in tasks such as data discovery, transformation, documentation and “requirements.”
The new Discover agent is pretty self-explanatory, helping teams to identify and evaluate the relevant datasets they need for each new project. The Transform agent generates the business logic required for each workflow by ingesting, cleaning, enriching, combining, transforming and aggregating the data. The components of each workflow are presented to users within Prophecy’s visual editor, from where they can easily be inspected and refined.
As for the Document agent, it’s tasked with automatically generating auditable documentation for each data workflow based on a set of user-preferred templates. The Requirements agent is focused on turning the requirements of business stakeholders into visual data workflows.
Prophecy founder and Chief Executive Raj Bains said the company is launching Enterprise Express to cater to teams that have an urgent need to accelerate the deployment of AI applications.
“Businesses strive to make quick decisions in fast-changing environments, but the complexity of data preparation and analysis slows them down,” he said. “That’s where Prophecy can take on the heavy lifting. Prophecy’s agents discover data, transform it, and document what they’ve done, cutting the prep and analysis process from days and weeks to a matter of hours.”
