Nozomi Networks launches new Vantage IQ private AI assistant for OT and IoT security teams

Industrial cybersecurity firm Nozomi Networks Inc. today announced the launch of the new Vantage IQ, a private, company-trained artificial intelligence assistant for operational technology and internet of things security teams.

The new assistant has been designed to help with the issue of cyberattacks on critical infrastructure reaching historic highs at a time when shortages of OT and IoT defenders have become a crisis for strong protection. Nozomi argues that organizations need solutions that function as a teammate and elevate their defenses amid a rapidly changing threat landscape.

The new Vantage IQ seeks to address these issues by representing what Nozomi calls the next era of AI innovation to solve OT and IoT security’s greatest challenges. With the new release, the company says, OT/IoT security teams gain access to an AI assistant that is context-aware and delivers instant, actionable intelligence and guidance to every analyst and operator with scale, speed and accuracy.

Vantage IQ’s intelligence is built on an organization’s unique assets, communication, vulnerability and threat data to ensure that every answer is relevant and secure. The assistant gives security operation center analysts hyper-tailored insights with AI-guided triage, investigation and response and chief information security officers and leaders gain access to board-ready insights in plain language on demand.

“The era of generic, one-size-fits-all AI is over,” said co-founder and Chief Product Officer Andrea Carcano. “With Vantage IQ, the world’s most advanced OT/IoT cybersecurity AI assistant is now on your team – empowering defenders to outpace adversaries and giving leaders the clarity they need to protect what matters most.”

Key features of the new release include access to a private, context-aware large language model powered by a secure LLM that learns from an organization’s unique OT/IoT asset, vulnerability, threat and risk data to deliver insights. Enhanced analyst capabilities instantly triage, investigate and respond to incidents with AI guidance specific to each individual environment.

The new release also provides executive-ready insights, with support for extracting board-level intelligence through natural conversations with AI and offers actionable recommendations and remediation guidance delivered directly throughout the Vantage experience, on each main tab of the interface.

“The labor crisis in cybersecurity is real — and growing,” added Carcano. “With skilled resources a scarce commodity and the threat landscape accelerating, Vantage IQ is the force multiplier that turns good analysts into great defenders.”

Nozomi was previously in the news in September when it announced that it had agreed to be acquired by Mitsubishi Electric Corp., a major supplier of industrial equipment. The acquisition deal valued Nozomi at about $1 billion, with Mitsubishi Electric paying $883 million for the shares in the company it doesn’t currently own.
