Data security provider Druva Inc. today announced the launch of Druva Identity Resilience, a new capability that extends its data security platform to support Okta Inc., Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID in a unified software-as-a-service environment to protect and restore identity systems after cyber incidents.
Identity-driven attacks have reached a tipping point, with nearly 90% of incident response investigations now tracing back to identity compromise. As a result, Druva argues, security teams face a deeper challenge: reconstructing what changed across permissions and relationships, understanding the impact and determining what can be trusted. Added to the mix is that trust is now difficult to validate without unified context, especially when identities span cloud and on-premises providers and permissions and privileges change continuously.
Druva Identity Resilience addresses these issues with an identity-aware approach that tracks identity state over time and correlates relationships and behavior to provide the missing context for recovery. According to Druva, the result is clearer decisions during incident response and the ability to restore identity to a clean, trusted state so teams can recover dependent applications and systems with confidence.
“Many solutions still treat identity as a static list of users, but modern environments are far more complex,” said co-founder and Chief Executive Jaspreet Singh. “Druva is advancing an identity-aware approach that maps and correlates the relationships between users, data and access, so when an incident occurs, organizations can regain control and restore operations with clarity and confidence.”
Identity Resilience works by modeling identity as a continuously evolving state as opposed to a collection of directory objects. The service connects human and nonhuman identities, privileges, activity and data across disparate hybrid identity providers to show how access is inherited, how relationships change and how impact unfolds over time.
With the service, Druva says, it provides meaningful context and clear signals around access and behavior to allow teams to distinguish legitimate activity from compromise and to help them understand the broader impact of change. Identity Resilience strengthens protection, recovery and response and, in doing so, raises the standard for modern identity resilience.
Under the hood, the service is powered by the Dru MetaGraph, a secure, tenant-specific, graph-powered foundation that is architected inside the Druva platform to power real-time data intelligence. MetaGraph continuously maps relationships within each customer’s environment to deliver high-fidelity visibility and guide evidence-based recovery decisions.
The offering enables identity-aware recovery with unified protection across hybrid identity environments. It also provides tamper-proof immutability to ensure a clean source of truth, comprehensive restore and granular rollback, integrity verification to confirm trusted restore points and reduce reinfection risk, and finally orchestrated workflows that prioritize identity restoration before downstream systems,
Support for unified protection across Okta, Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID is generally available today and Druva plans to offer expanded identity-aware capabilities for cyber recovery and threat detection and response in the near future.
