New leaks haves surfaced regarding what “cool” features might be appearing on the next iPhone, either as a unique feature to the device, or by way of iOS 7.

Earlier reports stated that Apple is planning to add an offline dictation tool to its flagship smartphone.  The feature was discovered by Hamza Sood, who revealed that the evidence lies deep in the coding of iOS 7 beta.  The offline dictation tool is currently inactive in public-facing builds, but sources claim that devices internal to Apple have the feature up and running already.

Another leaked feature from Sood is the possibility of having a camera capable of taking slow-motion videos.  According to Sood, the camera will integrate filters to capture those oh-so-dramatic-shots people just love sharing on social sites.  Sood claims that this slow-mo feature will be native to the next iPhone, and not just something that you’ll get when you update your iOS.  The new camera feature has apparently been dubbed as “Mogul.”

“According to our analysis and testing of the code, “Mogul” is a feature in development that allows the iPhone to capture video at an exceptionally fast and precise rate. Specifically, our testing indicates that the feature can allow the iPhone to record video at a rate of 120 frames-per-second (FPS). The resolution at which this 120FPS video could be recorded at, however, is currently unclear,”

When shooting a video at 120FPS, everything appears crisper, or for lack of a better way to describe it, better than reality.  Videos shot at this rate are shown in slow motion so viewers can fully absorb all the great details of the video.

Funny thing is, Samsung already has the exact same feature in its Galaxy S4, and so its adoption by Apple would only lend weight to the view that the next iPhone is really just the next great Android device, albeit a more expensive one.

However, one potential advantage of IOS 7’s slow-mo camera is that it appears to be more developer friendly than its Android cousin, allowing access to new 60 frames-per-second video recording functionality, support for enhanced playback, audio recording, editing, and exporting of high-frame rate video.

As for other rumors surrounding the next iPhone, a Chinese news source has seperately claimed that a recruitment firm working with Hon Hai, a.k.a. Foxconn, has launched a large-scale recruitment of workers who would be a part of the the next iPhone’s production. Hon Hai currently has 210,000 workers on its staff, and the factory aims to boost its manpower to accommodate the massive production demands of Apple’s next big order.

Apple may also equip the iPhone 5S (or iPhone 6, we’re not sure yet) with LTE-A technology from SK Telecom.  If Apple agrees to SK Telecom’s proposal, the next iPhone would be able to reach download speeds of 150Mbps, two times faster than the current iPhone 5’s download speeds.

Other rumored features of the next iPhone are: a larger-capacity battery, a new dual-LED rear-camera flash, a 12MP camera, a fingerprint scanner, and Retina+ Sharp IGZO display with 1080p Full HD resolution.
