Facebook and Zynga Ink Five Year Deal

Facebook has closed a deal with online game maker Zynga, creator of the mega-hit Farmville as well as many other titles. The two companies wil partner for imageanother five years, and the agreement will expand the use of Facebook Credits in Zynga’s games.  Testing is taking place now, but terms of the deal were not disclosed.

"Facebook was a pioneer in opening their platform in 2007 and in just three years tens of millions of Facebook users play our games everyday, from ‘FarmVille’ and ‘Cafe World’ to ‘Treasure Isle’ and ‘Mafia Wars,’ " Zyngus founder and CEO Mark Pincus said in a statement today. "We are excited about Facebook’s long-term commitment to social gaming and Zynga."
