Sense-U Monitors the Old and Young for Safety + Posture

 

Quantified Self Tuesday featured the Sense-U clip-on device that not only tracks your physical activities but is also a great device to monitor your posture, as well as a the elderly; the Amiigo tracking bracelet that monitors your heart rate, blood oxygen levels, skin temperature, overall activity level, and calories burned; and the Sliders app, which helps you keep track of your activities without having to purchase an additional tracking bracelet, as it relies on your iPhone’s sensors.

Removable SIMs to Appear in Audi SmartCars + More

 

SmartCar Wednesday featured Audi’s plan to equip its cars with removable SIMs so drivers can choose the best network provider for LTE; Nissan and General Motors’ pledge to deliver fully automated vehicles by the end of this decade; and Ford’s acquisition of Livio to accelerate an industry standard as well as bolster its own “infotainment” system to allow for seamless in-car connectivity.

Slimmest Portable Speaker, Smallest GPS Tracker + More

 

And finally, SmartDevice Thursday delivered DASH7, Soundmatters’ slimmest wireless pocket-portable Bluetooth soundbar and speakerphone with omnidirectional sound; LoccaMini, an Indiegogo project that touts itself as the world’s smallest GPS tracker; and the BluFit smart water bottle that aims to get people to drink the right amount of fluids throughout the day to keep them hydrated, no matter the weather.
