IBM Vision, the premier conference for finance, risk management and sales compensation professionals, kicked off in Orlando, Florida, this week, with theCUBE making its inaugural appearance.
Similar to IBM Edge and other events, initial talks concern how to put data science and analytics in the hands of business users.
“There is a focus on analytics as a driver of business performance management for governance risk compliance and sales compensation management,” said theCUBE cohost Dave Vellante. “The key is to go beyond rear-view mirror thinking. This is a challenge for business and business intelligence in general.”
IBM’s Watson Analytics will be discussed heavily at IBM Vision. The conference will also introduce IBM partners, such as SPSS, Algorithmics, Open Pages and other companies. “IBM has created a very powerful software portfolio,” said theCUBE cohost Jeff Frick.
