HP split brings new energy, renewed focus to the brand | #HPEDiscover
Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co. (HPE) and HP, Inc. focus on transformation, but it’s not much different than any other company.
“Every company is going through some type of digital transformation,” said Jason Newton, senior director of marketing, Enterprise Group, for HPE. “We ask ourselves, ‘What do I need to do to create the infrastructure to support application development or data-mining or to deliver the mobile experience?’ It’s part of a large transformation and we’re at the beginning.”
Newton told John Furrier, cohost of theCUBE, from the SiliconANGLE Media team, during HPE Discover 2015 in London, that the company is focused on hybrid infrastructure. “Applications and data are becoming the face of the company,” Newton said. “That’s why we’re talking about hybrid infrastructure. But it’s hard work.”
A common mission
When it comes to day-to-day work, Newton said the HP office has a new energy and a renewed focus on a common mission. He also said that the company is more solutions-oriented than ever before.
“We listen to what our customers ask for and get out of our own way,” he said.
